Your role and responsibilities
As Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of ABB's Automation business. You will be responsible for the strategic sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, fully aligned with our division strategy.
Each day, you will be at the forefront of our business, achieving both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and exceptional customer satisfaction. You will leverage your industry expertise to identify and develop new sales opportunities, acting as a trusted advisor to our clients and a key contributor to our market expansion.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Conducting regular customer visits to strengthen relationships, understanding client needs, and position ABB as their partner of choice
- Building and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the designated territory
- Act as the voice of the customer within ABB, ensuring their needs and feedback shape our solutions
- Developing the designated sales area by proactively creating opportunities in Field Instrumentation and ensuring timely closure
- Driving pipeline development through strategic account planning and market analysis
- Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market, staying ahead of industry trends and competitive movements
- Developing and executing targeted sales campaigns to penetrate new accounts and expand existing relationships
- Managing administrative procedures in sales processes with accuracy and efficiency
- Supporting cash collection activities and collaborating with finance teams to ensure healthy cash flow
- Contributing to project management activities when needed, ensuring seamless handover from sales to execution
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in SFDC (Salesforce), providing visibility and forecasting accuracy

Qualifications for the Role
- Highly skilled in Field Instrumentation with deep technical knowledge and market understanding
- Technical degree required (Engineering or related field preferred)
- Ability to speak the technical language of customers and translate their needs into ABB solutions
- 5+ years of proven experience in Field Instrumentation sales with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
- Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing complex sales cycles
- Enhanced knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC) and ability to leverage it effectively for opportunity management, forecasting, and reporting
- Proficiency in CRM best practices and data-driven sales approaches
- Passionate about sales and deeply knowledgeable about sales processes and methodologies
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and overcome objections
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes
