Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
The Regional Sales/Customer Support Engineer is the first point contact to provide agile supports on IEC LV Motors product related inquiries received from our sales representatives within supporting region under ABB Motion Business.

- This role is contributing to the Motion Business
- IEC LV Motors Division in Asia Region, based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.

Performing analytical and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.

Analyzing market requirements, application needs, key customers, and competitor activities to secure orders by delivering optimal and cost-effective solutions from ABB IEC Low Voltage Motors Division’s comprehensive product portfolio.

Supporting the Sales team in technical meetings, product presentations, and customer negotiations, as well as conducting product, solution, and service-related training.

Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, technical support, or customer service within an engineering environment.

Ability to analyze technical issues and provide practical, solution-oriented recommendations to customers.
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to handle cases professionally under pressure.
-
Proactive, agile, and able to take ownership of assigned cases until closure.
-
Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese would be an added advantage. Willingness to travel when required.
