This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a business partner to the relevant business manager and leads local finance teams to optimize the financial performance within an assigned division / business area. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Driving the definition and implementation of global standards and business specific guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in financial control process within your area of responsibility.
  • Leading, providing guidance, and facilitating best practices to ensure alignment and consistency of controlling practices.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality, and efficiency for your area of responsibility.
  • Securing transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.

Qualifications for the role

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting is required.
  • 8+ years of business controlling experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results; in the areas of business, finance, operational controlling and/or accounting.
  • Strong financial manager, structured and results oriented leader with strong analytical and operational controlling skills.
  • Business oriented mindset to support business development
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in English, able to communicate with global technicians
