This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as electrical lead for high complex projects. Each day, you will ensure completion of all electrical commissioning activities effectively and cost-efficiently and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical solutions to meet current and emerging business and customer requirements.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Design, develop, and customize PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and other IEC 61131-3 languages for various machinery and production lines.
- Integrate PLCs with sensors, actuators, HMIs, SCADA systems, and ensure seamless communication using industrial protocols like Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Perform on-site commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC-controlled systems; travel up to 90% across India based on project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including wiring diagrams, program logic, user manuals, and operating guides using MS Office tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with safety standards while coordinating with vendors and customers for timely support and delivery.
Qualifications for the role
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering/Mechatronics engineering.
- 6–12 years of experience in Bodyshop/Paint shop installation and commissioning, preferably in automotive or automation industries
- Strong expertise in handling paint shop automation.
- Proficient in PLC programming using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram (FBD)
- Hands-on experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7), Allen-Bradley (RSLogix, Studio 5000), and Mitsubishi
- Skilled in HMI/SCADA development using tools like Wonderware, WinCC, and Ignition
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, and CANopen
- Strong electrical knowledge including reading schematics and working with sensors, actuators, relays, and motor controls
