This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:
Operations Manager
Your Role: Own the Challenge
In this role, you will lead a production team within a manufacturing unit or line, executing production processes that transform components and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost‑effective manner. You will ensure continuous and efficient operations in alignment with defined volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, quality and safety standards. You will also organize and allocate resources effectively to achieve production targets.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Robotics Engineering Delivery Platform (EDP) Business Line in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure production schedules and plans meet demand requirements and defined inventory service levels.
- Recommend technical improvements to equipment, processes, and facilities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Identify production area deficiencies, propose improvement actions, and oversee implementation to improve performance.
- Manage and coordinate the resolution of critical product or equipment issues in collaboration with internal teams.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing electrical products or industrial automation; experience with robotic cells or robotics equipment is a strong plus.
- Proven experience leading and managing shop‑floor/operational personnel.
- Knowledge of supply chain and production processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Self‑directed profile, capable of working independently without constant supervision.
- Experience using SAP is desirable.
- Intermediate English is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams is a differentiator.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic, Industrial Engineering, or related field
