This Position reports to:

Senior Engineering Manager:

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead technical proposal of PMS(Power Management System) or Electrical SCADA or Synchronization Panel to customer and execute of the project from design, procurement, FAT and commissioning up to project closure.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid (office 70% / onsite 30%)

This role is contributing to the Energy Industries in China.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Instructs, supervision and coordinates with sales for the complete and competent presentation, proposal (Technical & Commercial) to customer in compliance with the project requirement and cost optimization.
• Instructs, supervises and coordinates with the guidance of the EM/PM the related engineering teams of ABB and sub-suppliers in order to secure the integrity, completeness and correct function.
• Responsible for the design, procurement, FAT, testing and commissioning of complete PMS/SCADA system and synchronization, etc.
• Take budget responsibility where design and technical solution is driving cost. Strive for cost reductions.
• Document Submission and Approval from Customer and Class Society
• Provide technical inputs and applicable specifications for Purchase Orders
• Project Schedule Management, Milestone Achievement and Quality Control of Engineering Deliverables and Products.
• Maintain good working relations to partners, client representatives and consultant
• Responsible for integration of both hardware & software work as well as implementation
• Manage Root Cause Analysis on Monitoring & Control infrastructure failures and malfunctions suggesting detailed engineering solutions
• Proficiency with industrial networking protocols including IEC61850, Ethernet, Modbus, Devicenet,RS232/485, Profibus, Profinet etc.

• Interlocking Diagram
• Synchronizing Diagram
• Coordinate with Electrical engineering for IEDs and Overall System Operation Philosophy.
• Calculation of power loss and power consumption of the system.
• ITP, FAT Procedure and SAT Procedure
• Cable Sizing and Selection
• Packing, Shipping, Preservation Procedure and IOM

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering or Automation with 10 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 5 years of experience and successful completion with at least 5 years of experience in PLC/SCADA, PMS, Synchronization.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Power generation/transmission/Distribution and software related industrial environment
• Understanding of thermodynamical and power plant process
• Knowledge in ABB’s 800xA system preferred
• Knowledge in ABB’s Products of MV/LV Switchgear (IEDs), Transformer, Drive
• Able to read and interpret electrical SLD, schematics, Typical Metering and Protection Diagram, Equipment and Ehouse Layout drawing etc.
• Experience in substation systems or components is an advantage
• High sense of responsibility and commitment
• Organizational- and management skills
• Effective communicator
• High degree of intercultural awareness
• English in speaking and writing
• Self-driven personality
• Understanding of Commercial Requirements
• Able to work under pressure, multi task and good coordination of tasks
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and in teams.
