Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Services division in CDMX.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.

• Performing field service tasks, programing protection relays, testing network protocols,programing PLCs, identifying electrical technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and LV & MV products.

• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.

• Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. .

• Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-mechanic, Electronic or Mechatronic.

• 2+ Years experience in programing Protection relays and PLCs , Testing Network protocols (MODBUS TCP, Profinet, Profibus, IEC61850)

• Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of LV & MV products (SWGR & MCCs)

• Advanced English

• Open to travel approximately 80% as required (national and international)
