At ABB Marine & Ports, we are at the forefront of driving the evolution of sustainable shipping. Electrical propulsion, data-driven decision support and integrated solutions for ship and shore from ABB are paving the way to a zero-emission marine industry, providing greater efficiency and reliability to shipowners, and preparing vessels to meet the demands of tomorrow.

As a technical trainer you will be an important team member, ensuring our customers know how to operate and maintain their ABB equipment and solutions safely and efficiently. You will also play a key role in building the technical knowledge of your colleagues.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct both theoretical and practical training sessions, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience.
  • Assess trainees' understanding and proficiency through tests, practical exercises, and evaluations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate them into training materials.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and industry professionals to enhance training programs.
  • Maintain training equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during training sessions.
  • Provide support for customers and the team worldwide

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a teaching or training role is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Certification in marine electrical systems or related areas is a plus.

  • Fluent written and spoken English skills; all the training are in English
