Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational procurement of electronic components, taking into account technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and agreed terms. You will ensure that all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with ABB’s policies and processes. In addition, you will work closely with the product teams to identify new suppliers and support the procurement process effectively.

Your main responsibilities:

• Creating and managing purchase orders in the SAP Ariba system according to requirements and internal processes.

• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring timely receipt of goods.

• Checking deliveries for completeness and quality, as well as handling invoice processing.

• Aligning supplier orders with customer and project requirements regarding quality, sustainability, delivery, and cost.

• Negotiating contracts with key suppliers and regularly updating price lists and terms and conditions.

• Recommending framework agreements to management and implementing them upon approval.

• Analyzing offers and selecting the most cost-effective solution.

• Maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring close coordination with project requirements.

Qualifications for the Role

• Several years of experience in operational procurement of electronic components.

• Proficient in SAP Ariba.

• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and supplier management.

• Customer-oriented approach and ability to ensure efficient order fulfillment.

• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Strong sense of responsibility and adherence to ABB values, safety, and integrity standards.
