Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to represent Primary Gas Insulated switchgear portfolio and play a role to drive sales and market growth. Each day, you will oversee tendering and marketing activities and support Sales organizations in driving sales and services for their respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by defining, planning, and ensuring the implementation of product marketing strategies in line with global/local product strategy.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:- Creating, planning, and ensuring implementation of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy, including defining and communicating product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy including the tendering activity for MV GIS portfolio

  • Leading a team of people (5-6 members) for quotation management
  • Focusing on achievement of the target set for metrics like total demand orders (by ABB and third-party), growth margin percentage, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turn on finished goods, and on-time delivery as requested.
  • Evaluating market opportunities, determining appropriate activities aligned with the overall strategy, and coordinating opportunities across local divisions and local business units, as appropriate.
  • Ensuring balanced growth for all product variants, in the business unit and creating product demand by promoting technical aspects, providing solutions, and utilizing value-based selling approach.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are immersed in Marketing function in Switchgear market

  • You have 8 to 12 years of experience in Domestic Marketing & Tendering of MV Switchgear

  • You have hands on experience in leading Tendering, Preparing Techno Commercial Bids, Technical Discussions with Customer and Product Positioning

  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of MV Switchgear (GIS)

  • Possess knowledge of SFDC & Quotation management. Experience in using configurator would be good.

  • Degree in Electrical engineering (should be full time)

  • You are at ease communicating in English
