Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

This role is contributing to the ABB Motion Business area, product group Traction motors, located in Västerås but operating globally. Main stakeholder is the team you will be working in.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support our traction motor team during the summer period. The role will focus on analysis of laboratory measurement data, validation of calculation models, and the structured creation of a results database.
• Hands‑on work with real lab measurements, assist in comparing test data with simulation outputs, and help develop repeatable workflows for data handling and documentation.
• Participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
• Seeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.
