Your role and responsibilities
In this role, Creates and modifies the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction, for assignments classified as low to medium complexity, using standard design concepts.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite.
This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Power. Electrification Business for Nelamangala, Bangalore Region, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Design and develop engineering solutions, drawings, and calculations in accordance with contractual specifications, standards, safety, and quality requirements; participate in design reviews and implement necessary modifications.

Support project execution by preparing technical design documentation, presenting design aspects in project meetings, and ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of engineering deliverables.

Collaborate closely with project management, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure designs are correctly manufactured, installed, tested, and commissioned as per project requirements.

Ensure accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) aligned with contractual obligations and project margins, while supporting variation requests and contract claims with project manager approval.

Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing by contributing to engineering workshops, using standard tools and processes, reporting inefficiencies, managing technical risks, and ensuring compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards.
Qualifications for the role:

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in the design and development of PMCC, MCC, IMCC, and APFC panels.

Proficient in engineering design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to prepare and review detailed technical drawings and documentation.

Extensive experience in Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation and management, ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements while minimizing Project Left-Over Material (PLOM).

Effective communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.

Ensure engineering deliverables comply with safety, cybersecurity, quality standards, and contractual requirements, reporting any integrity, compliance, or cost-related issues to management or the project manager.

Work closely with the Project Manager from order receipt to project closure, ensuring technical requirements are met and supporting variation/change requests as approved.

Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure designs are correctly manufactured, installed, tested, and commissioned as per project requirements.
