Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance complete and sizable software modules in the assigned software engineering function in one or more of platform and application management. Each day, you will deliver software components for platforms/applications/solutions. You will also showcase your expertise by demonstrating reasonable proficiency in software engineering in their relevant competence.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Services (ELSE) g lobally and based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Main stakeholders are the Global Operations Team.
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Applying the principles of software engineering for analysis, design, development, unit and integration testing, and debugging of computer software based on distributed architecture including cloud/on-premises/edge architecture and design.

• Contributing to the software development lifecycle that includes requirements, conceptualization, prototyping, design, coding, testing, release, and subsequent maintenance and operations.

• Adopting agile software development to build and deliver software in an iterative and incremental manner.

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions that deliver measurable value.

• Engaging with IS teams (Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, Security) to coordinate data access, resolve technical blockers, and ensure seamless integration across systems and platforms.

• Qualifications for the role**-**Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field with a demonstrated track record in digital solution development.

• Ability to demonstrate your experience in solving problems with digital solutions through academic projects, internships, or personal initiatives.

• Preferred but non-mandatory: Possess the basic knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), Snowflake

• You are at ease communicating in English (fluent, both written and verbal) to collaborate with global stakeholders.
