ABB is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague to be part of our Information & Maintenance Solutions team located in Stavanger.

We are looking for a new colleague who wants to be part of the exciting ABB future. You will be part of a strong and professional environment working with Information Management related topics in the products, systems, and services that we offer to our customers. You will contribute to further developing this group working in close cooperation with our customers.

The position involves assignments for Norwegian and international customers and suppliers, in green segments like electrification, offshore wind, hydrogen, as well as the oil and gas segment. You will be a Senior Project Engineer working with detailed design, engineering, and commissioning of ABB’s portfolio.

Some travelling to customer sites is to be expected.

Your responsibilities

• Design and engineering of software solutions for safety- and alarm management, 3rd party integration, history solutions and/or cloud data streaming as part of the automation system deliveries.
• Software solutions enhancing the automation system.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary deliveries, interpreting and translating the automation scope into high level configuration.
• Enhancing automation value with top level products.
• Service and follow-up of existing customers and installed systems.
• Customer communication in project and service.

Your background

• You hold an Engineering degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) within the areas of Automation, Cybernetics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Understand Automation system design, Safety engineering and/or Alarm management.
• You know or want to learn about system connectivity (OPC DA/UA, Modbus, TCP etc.).
• You take pride in delivering with quality.
• You are fluent in English, spoken and written, and you have a valid working permit in Norway. If you speak Norwegian as well it’s a big advantage.
• You have a few years of experience working on projects.

You are curious about new technologies and services within one or more of the following areas:

• Web technologies, Network, Windows, Linux, and databases.
• Industrial IT on premises and/or in cloud.
• Safety Engineering.
• Alarm Management.
• Working in project teams.
• Communicate, and inspire customers.
• Provide customer value.

The position will be in the Stavanger office, at Vestre Svanholmen 14, 4313 Sandnes.
