This Position reports to:

Global Data Center Segment Sales Leader:

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

  • Understanding the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer’s business and business environment and interprets the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB.

  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the targeted accounts through providing current business and long-term plans of the customer.

  • Defining and proposing sales targets for the account and ensures their achievement through a structured follow-up process across divisions and countries.

  • Selling products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, representing ABB, overall. Collaboration with all Motion Divisions – pertaining to Data Centers and applications.

  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.g., frame agreements, sales planning, and issue resolution).

  • Monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.

  • Driving application of standardized marketing & sales processes and tools (Salesforce, account plans, , etc.) for the account.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred, other relevant course is considered with relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of senior sales experience in data centers, motors/drives, cooling systems, or related fields.

  • Strong background in consultative technical sales with long sales cycles (>12 months).

  • Willing to travel more than 50% across the APAC region.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce application.
