Key responsibilities
In this role, you will drive service sales, identify new service opportunities, and ensure profitable growth in existing customer business within process analysis technology. Your focus will be on analyzing and developing the installed base, expanding existing service contracts, and acquiring new ones throughout Germany and Switzerland. You will build long-term customer relationships and ensure that customer requirements, such as the timely implementation of service requests, consulting, and training, are addressed quickly and effectively.
This role supports the Service Team within the Analytical Business Line. Key stakeholders include customers in the (petro)chemical, waste management, metals and minerals, automotive, medical technology, and semiconductor manufacturing sectors, as well as internal teams such as sales and marketing.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Expansion of the service business through active support of the installed base, sale of service contracts, and identification of upgrade, retrofit, and value-added solutions.

Analysis of customer requirements and technical and application-related consulting on service products.

Preparation, coordination, and follow-up of proposals in close collaboration with the internal service team, as well as conducting sales negotiations until successful completion.

Generation of new sales opportunities and support of marketing activities through customer visits, presentations, events, trade fairs, and participation in product-related marketing materials.

Participation in the further development and modification of standard service contracts into customized customer solutions.

Support of the service management team in strategy and target setting.
You will become part of a motivated, customer-oriented and technically skilled team where collaboration, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking are highly valued.
Qualifications for the role

You have a degree in engineering, natural sciences, chemistry, physics, or process engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.

You have experience in technical sales or service sales of complex technical products, ideally in the field of analytical, measurement, or laboratory technology.

You have experience in customer consulting, preparing proposals, and conducting sales negotiations, and you work in a structured and goal-oriented manner.

You are able to build, maintain, and develop long-term customer relationships and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

You are fluent in German and proficient in English.

You are willing to travel extensively within Germany and Switzerland and regularly visit customers on-site.
