This Position reports to:

Technical Training Manager:

Are you passionate about sharing knowledge, excited about new technologies, and experienced with ABB excitation systems? Do you enjoy translating complex systems into engaging learning experiences?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re seeking a Technical Trainer to take the lead in training delivery and content development for our ABB excitation products. You'll not only train clients, partners, and internal staff—you'll also play a key role in shaping and maintaining our online digital training environment, and prepare learners for our next-generation product launches.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Delivering technical training on ABB excitation systems (e.g., UNITROL), both virtually and in-person. Additionally, designing, updating, and managing course materials, training manuals, e-learning modules and continuously improve our digital training environment (e.g., LMS platforms, virtual labs, documentation)

  • Collect feedback and assess training effectiveness for ongoing improvement and customized training based on client needs and evolving product specifications

  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering to align training with latest technological developments

  • Act as a technology ambassador—training internal and external users on our next-gen excitation products

Your background:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field as well as experience as a technical trainer, service engineer, or technical instructor

  • Solid technical background in ABB excitation systems (e.g., UNITROL)

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools

  • Fluent in English; German and French is welcome. In addition to that, proficient communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Naturally curious and passionate about technology and innovation

  • Proficient organizational and planning skills

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and company locations up to 30% of the time
