We are looking for a motivated and curious summer worker to support our team during the summer period. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in a professional environment and work closely with experienced colleagues, quality and production. The position is well suited for you as a student at the beginning of your career who is eager to learn, take responsibility, and contribute to daily operations.

The summer job consists of building a prototype for measurement data collection (temperature), where an existing sensor will be used and the surrounding existing electronics need to be adapted. Software to receive streaming data needs to be written, and possibly also signal‑processing algorithms.

Another part involves further developing an experimental setup aimed at solving a “temperature‑measurement problem.” Based on an IR sensor with multiple pixels, you will assemble the electronics and sample data using C code and Python/Matlab. From this data, you will compensate for heating disturbances that reach the sensor and model the “true” temperature of the object being measured.

Main responsibilities:

• Build a prototype for data acquisition based on existing hardware

• Write C-code to handle streaming data from existing API

• Use micro-controller to collect data

• Store and post-process the data.

• Conduct various measurements and document results

• Subject to time available, investigate various methods for disturbance rejection.
