As an Area Sales Manager, you will represent one of the world’s leading robotics portfolios. From collaborative solutions to high‑performance industrial robots, you will work with cutting‑edge technology that truly benefits customers across manufacturing, logistics, food & beverage, automotive, and more

Your role and responsibility

In this role, you will become part of our Nordics sales team and contribute to profitable growth with existing and prospective customers across Denmark. While your home base will be our headquarters in Middelfart, you are expected to spend most of your time engaging directly with customers, building new partnerships, and developing long-term relationships across a broad range of industries – both with end customers and system integrators. This is a position for someone who thrives on finding new opportunities, enjoys a role with frequent new initiatives and is motivated by creating real business impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own your territory and accounts—prospect daily, accelerate sales cycles and deepen strategic partnerships with key accounts.
  • **Build a steady pipeline—**identify targets, run targeted outreach, qualify and advance opportunities from first contact to order with speed and discipline.
  • Be the face of ABB Robotics—position the full portfolio with focus on industrial robots and function packages, translating customer needs into solutions.
  • Partner closely with leadership—report to the Sales Manager Nordics and align on forecast, territory plans and strategy to consistently outperform targets.
  • Stay close to customers—be based in Middelfart and travel across Denmark as needed to meet decision‑makers on site, build and maintain relationships and win key deals.

Qualifications for the role

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and preserving productive relationships with industrial customers across Denmark
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a strategic mindset for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities
  • Committed to delivering results and meeting sales targets in a competitive environment
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, in Danish and English
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Extensive experience in robot automation and/or commercial experience in system sales, with a history of delivered projects
  • Customer-focused orientation with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs
  • Willingness to travel within Denmark to engage with customers and grow business

More about us

You will be based at our office in Middelfart, alongside your closest colleagues. Since you support customers across Denmark, you can expect some time on the road, as well as occasional international travel - primarily to the other Nordic countries.

The position reports to Thomas Johansson, BL Industry Sales Manager Nordics.
