Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop Technical/Commercial Tenders for mainly Static Transfer Switch (STS) globally but not necessarily be limited to only STS. This will require an in depth understanding of ABB’s Critical Power product offering and potential solutions. .
The work model for the role is: #Li-Hybrid, but the preferred living locations are in Bangalore, India.
The role will support for the Electrification Smart Power Business, Critical Power Product Group to be based at Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Manage tenders, conduct risk reviews, and deliver timely, competitive, and profitable STS proposals using ABB tools and databases.

Analyze and interpret technical documentation to align with design intent while providing applications engineering support to customers and sales teams.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to develop executable proposals, negotiate effectively, and derive benefits from ABB’s full product portfolio.

Ensure compliance with customer requirements and government contracting standards while seeking training to enhance commercial operations capabilities.
Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in the electrical distribution industry; data center experience.
-
Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in relevant roles.

More than 3 years of practical STS product experience required.

Experience in project quotations, contract negotiation, and technical sales.

UPS and Critical Power systems experience.
-
Proficient communication skills, a teamwork-oriented mentality, and the ability to travel as needed within the region; fluency in English is required, and other language abilities are a bonus.
