Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Network & Telecom team in Ostrava EUOPC**.**
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Design and architecture IT / Telecom networks based on ABB rules and reference architecture following ABB cyber security rules

• Configuration of network elements in project networks like switches, firewalls, routers, CCTV, Telephony etc.

• Testing and commissioning of complex IT networks on the projects

• Troubleshooting of IT networks / Telecom

• Work trips abroad ~ 30%

• Qualifications for the role- You have a secondary/university education in electrical engineering, IT or similar

• You have knowledge of computer networks - configuration of network elements

• You have active knowledge of English - written and spoken (level B1 and above)

• You are proactive, communicative and able to work independently

• You hold currently valid VISA/work permit for the Czech Republic

It is advantage if

You are familiar with the Windows/Linux environment (server administration, AD, DNS, GPO)

• You have a knowledge about Voice / VOIP, Fiber solutions, CCTV, PAGA, RACAN
• You own IT certificate like CCNA or similar
