Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the MV Secondary Switchgear Business for Electrification Distribution Solutions in ABB Longmeadow**.**
You will be mainly accountable for:

Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.

Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.

Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.

Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.

Qualifications for the role

You should have at least 5 years of experience in production of medium voltage switchgear equipment.

Matric as a minimum qualification, however a diploma or degree will be an advantage.

You are highly skilled with planning and arranging resources and materials in the production activities to meet timelines for customer expectations and delivery commitments within the MV Electrification market

Ability to demonstrate your experience in the production environment, being able to lead the team, handle stress and make informed decisions. for on time production.

You are computer literate and can operate windows and SAP to obtain production related information.

You are passionate about working in a team structure with good communication skills.

You should be able to handle stress and pressure from customers demands.

Have a demonstrated track record in leading a team and take responsibility for allocated tasks.

You are at ease communicating in English
