Your role and responsibilities :

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

This role is contributing to Process Automation Business in Bangalore Location.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Lead RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations for DCS systems and automation components.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of DCS systems, industrial automation, and control engineering.
• Secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project technical specifications and requirements. Ability to evaluate technical specifications, I/O lists, control narratives, system architecture drawings, and BOMs to ensure precise procurement alignment.
• Ensure all sourced products meet required technical standards.
• Apply techno-commercial knowledge in process automation procurement.
• Source automation project components such as DCS, PLC, network components, IT hardware, and software.
• Bring expertise in tender management and execution of process automation projects.
• Execute purchasing and logistics strategies that optimize supplier cost, quality, delivery and reliability.
• Ability to analyze project schedules and ensure procurement deliverables are aligned with engineering and construction milestones.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• • BE/B-Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.
• • 3–7 years of experience in SCM P&L activities with SAP exposure.
• • Knowledge of digital tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, or AI-based tools (preferred).
• • Specialization in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage
• • Mandatory knowledge of DCS systems; experience in ABB 800xA and Symphony Plus systems is an added advantage.
• • Should have good communication skills.
• • Flexibility to work in shifts. Base location: Bangalore, India.
