As part of our strategic growth, we are hiring a new Service Manager for our Core Common Data Product Service (CCDP) that supports ABB’s strategic set of essential data assets utilized across the company.
This role is open globally, but location is set in Poland (Krakow) or Bangalore (India). The work model is hybrid #.
In this role as CCDP Service Manager, you will create and lead a robust, scalable model for delivering data products, focusing on high technical quality, efficiency, and productivity. Your efforts will directly impact ABB’s ability to deliver meaningful solutions to customers and industries worldwide.
You will help build ABB’s internal expertise by insourcing key functions, reducing dependence on external vendors, and nurturing sustainable talent within the organization. This approach empowers you to shape the future of ABB’s data capabilities while fostering professional growth.
You will design, implement, and oversee frameworks that ensure services are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with customer expectations. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence and driving continuous improvement.
Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with stakeholders, including the CCDP Working Group and CCDP Ste Com, ensuring alignment, transparency, and shared success. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global industry leader.
You will report directly to the CCDP Domain Owner.
Key responsibilities

Lead the integration between Ingestion and CCDP teams by developing a unified operating model that seamlessly connects data ingestion processes with the creation of common data products.

Define clear interfaces, ownership models, and shared responsibilities to strengthen collaboration between ingestion and data product teams.

Champion the adoption and ongoing development of DevOps practices to enhance efficiency, agility, and reliability across teams.

Build ABB’s internal expertise by insourcing strategic capabilities, reducing reliance on external vendors, and empowering your team.

Take charge of establishing service attributes and become the go-to expert for service management, ensuring thorough knowledge and ownership of the service.

Serve as the primary escalation point for major incidents, acting swiftly to resolve critical issues and maintain service continuity.

Lead service review meetings, foster collaboration, and driving improvements in service management and delivery.

Work alongside the Continuous Service Improvement teams to proactively develop and implement enhancements to the service.

Participate in Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level Agreement (OLA) creation meetings to set high standards for service performance and accountability.

Execute the service delivery strategy and oversee the service delivery plan for your assigned services, ensuring excellent outcomes for customers and stakeholders.

Manage daily cooperation with key suppliers, prioritizing actions, and ensuring commitments are met according to defined priorities.

Ensure all work aligns with Corporate IS and other relevant ABB regulations and guidelines, maintaining compliance and integrity in all operations.

Oversee service financials, managing budgets efficiently and in accordance with ABB policies.
Qualifications
-
Master's degree in information management, Computer Science, Business Engineering, or a closely related field.

At least 10 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, demonstrating the ability to analyze, interpret, and leverage data to drive business outcomes.

Strong command of English, both written and spoken, is required.

Familiarity with ITIL processes, the Scrum Framework, and Microsoft technology stack (MS Stack) is preferred.

Proven ability to understand and gather business requirements and effectively translate them into technical solutions and information systems capabilities.

Significant experience in project planning and execution, including managing budgets, timelines, and understanding the financial aspects of system management and the full system lifecycle.

Demonstrated success in managing relationships and communications with both internal and external stakeholders.

Previous strong people leadership leading and inspiring technical and non-technical teams.
