Key responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Analyzing complex mechanical systems and exploring the introduction of sustainability concepts into product development.

• Learning more about sustainability and life cycle assessments based on bill of materials and 3D models.

• Getting familiar with the newest AI technologies like LLM that can support extracting information on geometry and manufacturing from bill of materials .

• Comparing different AI approaches to find the best solution.

• Collaborating with our team members and learning about new technological trends and future control and protection devices.

• Documenting and presenting scientific results in a professional environment at ABB.

Qualifications for the role

• You are studying for a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field.

• You have good knowledge and experience in coding, in particular Matlab or Python.

• Experience with the use of LLM/AI is beneficial but not required.

• You are fluent in English (written and oral).
