Your role and responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats that inform key business decisions across a diverse range of energy industries including power, oil and gas, chemicals, water, pharmaceuticals, and others. You will also use strategic thinking to support PAEN AMC region in their Strategy & Sales initiatives. This role will also include providing targeted support for specific countries, with a focus on the United States and Canada.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries in Mexico City.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, customer strategies, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.

Develop proficiency in utilizing various data sources, including market reports, databases, surveys, business intelligence platforms and other relevant resources

Consolidates annual reports of targeted customers and competitors that can be utilized by Local Sales team

Collaborate with local sales organizations to advise on prioritization of sales efforts in accordance with Local country growth strategies

Support countries with specific data needs as they arise through the strategic recommendation discussions.

Contribute to the development of strategic plans, business development, and marketing campaigns by offering data-backed insights.

Gather and analyze market data, industry trends, and customer and competitor intelligence to identify market opportunities and potential risks.
Qualifications for the role

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

Fluent (written and spoken) in English

Proven experience (5+ years) in support sales, market research and development, competitive analysis, or related roles in Energy and Automation companies. Experience in technical sales or project-based commercial roles

Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Excel and other relevant software, with hands-on experience of building complex models

Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and generate actionable insights for Sales & Marketing teams

Knowledge of market research methodologies, data collection techniques, CRM and data visualization tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI) is a plus
