Your role and responsibilities
As a Project Manager in Life Science, you will lead automation projects across Denmark, primarily involving ABB’s 800xA and Satt Line control systems. You will coordinate and oversee project activities across the full automation lifecycle, including hardware design reviews, application programming coordination, system integration planning, test preparation and execution (FAT/SAT), and on-site commissioning.
Although you will not be carrying out engineering tasks yourself, a understanding of automation concepts, GMP regulated environments, and technical project interfaces would be beneficial.
- You will work closely with a wide range of project stakeholders - including automation engineers, planners, contract managers, and customers etc.
- to ensure structured execution, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality delivery of ABB’s automation solutions.
You will be responsible for driving financial performance, including margin control and accurate project reporting, while coordinating resources and ensuring strong commercial execution. Additionally, you will secure efficient project delivery in collaboration with both national and international colleagues, supporting cross-functional teamwork and clear, proactive communication.
Your responsibilities will include

Managing collaboration with customers to secure project alignment.

Overseeing financial steering and margin follow-up.

Coordinating resource planning across project phases.

Perform ongoing risk assessments and keep risk registers updated.

Ensuring structured internal and external project reporting.

Driving commercial execution of projects.

Executing projects efficiently with national and international colleagues.
Qualifications for the role
-
A degree in engineering (electrical/automation) or equivalent work experience.

Experience in managing technical and/or commercial projects, or alternatively proven experience as lead engineer responsible for delivering technical work packages.

Strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Capability to translate complex technical and business requirements into actionable project deliverables.

Experience managing teams and coordinating external partners or vendors.

Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work under pressure in fast‑moving environments.

Comfortable working with cross-functional and international teams.
