Your role and responsibilities
Are you someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with customers, and making a real impact in the field? As a Service Engineer at ABB, you will be the technical expert our clients rely on to keep their operations running smoothly. You’ll work with smart instrumentation and analyzers across a variety of industries, combining hands-on service with customer interaction and problem-solving.
This is a role where no two days are the same. One day you will focus on maintenance—ensuring our smart instrumentation and analyzers perform reliably over time, the next you might be commissioning a new system or troubleshooting a complex issue.
This is a hands-on role where you will be out in the field, working with cutting-edge technology and building strong relationships with customers. You’ll be part of a team that values initiative, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.
You will be mainly accountable for:

-
Support the sales team with technical insights and service recommendations.
-
Prepare service reports and ensure all activities are properly recorded and signed off.
-
Identify opportunities to improve service methods, tools, and applications.
-
Above all, make our customers feel supported, informed, and confident in our solutions.
The work model for the role is remote / hybrid.
Qualifications for the role

A technical degree or equivalent experience in instrumentation, automation, electronics, or a related field.

Willingness to travel across the Benelux region.

-
Curiosity and motivation to grow into the role.

Here’s what we offer:
-
A dynamic role with lots of variety and autonomy.
-
Opportunities to learn and grow through training and mentoring.
-
A collaborative team that values your input and initiative.
-
Freedom to plan your day, set your pace, and own your success stories.
