This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead:
Your role and responsibilities
Join ABB for an exciting summer where you'll contribute to designing intuitive interfaces and immersive experiences for next-generation industrial automation systems. You'll work on diverse projects that may include prototyping AI-powered interfaces or creating 3D virtual environments. This hands-on role offers you the chance to learn professional UX methods and tools, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across automation engineering and research, and see your work applied in real industrial applications
Main responsibilities:
- Support UX research and design activities
- Contribute to interface development
- Organize and analyze project data
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment

Period: June-August
Location: Västerås, Sweden
Work arrangement: On-site

- Qualifications for the role
- Education: 1-3 years in University programs in: Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Media Technology, Computer Science, Game Design, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or related fields.
- Interest in design, technology, and understanding how people interact with systems
- Basic familiarity with design or development tools.
- Creative problem-solving and visual thinking abilities.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies like AI, VR/AR, or automation.
