Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement the sales support strategy for a designated area in alignment with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure technical and commercial support for both internal and external customers. You will also demonstrate your technical and commercial skills by overseeing estimations, bids, and proposals, ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets, as well as leading, developing, and coaching the Sales Support team.

This role contributes to the Electrification Services business in Malaysia. The main stakeholders are Malaysian-based end users who rely directly on ABB Electrification equipment for operational continuity, safety, and performance.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Defining key targets and ensuring their achievement by monitoring progress and implementing improvement actions to enhance customer support and satisfaction.

Ensuring the most competitive offers by considering market conditions and customer requirements, and identifying the most effective sales approach (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel).

Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, and pricing) in each offer, and supporting bid/no-bid analyses and decisions.

Participating in project risk review processes, and ensuring required technical support and clarifications are provided to Sales teams during technical meetings, product presentations, and customer negotiations.

Qualifications for the Role

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Tendering, Bids & Proposals, and Estimation within Electrical Systems.

Demonstrated experience in costing and estimation activities.
-
Solid foundational knowledge of electrical Single Line Diagrams, technical specifications, and technical clarifications.
-
Basic understanding of risk management, financial principles, contract terms, and legal clauses.
-
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
-
More than 5 years’ experience in bid proposals for upgrading and maintenance of MV and LV power distribution systems.
