Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end material planning activities to ensure optimal product availability through the European Distribution Centre while balancing service level, inventory targets and working capital. You will coordinate material supply from ABB manufacturing facilities and external suppliers, support internal stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes.
The work model for the role is: onsite.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Area in Belgium (Houdeng-Goegnies). Main stakeholders are Customer Service, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics and Sales.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Ordering and planning materials from ABB factories and third-party suppliers to meet customer demand, service level targets and stock profiles.

Defining and maintaining inventory parameters and master data (PFEP) to ensure correct system setup and optimal replenishment.

Planning and organizing product transformations in the distribution centre (re-packaging, relabeling, kitting).

Monitoring service level and inventory KPIs, performing root cause analysis on deviations, and driving corrective actions with stakeholders.
Qualifications for the role
-
Strong experience in material planning, inventory management and MRP processes, preferably in an international supply chain or distribution environment.

Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret large data sets to support planning and decision-making.

Proven experience working with ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, BPCS, ERP LX), including master data and inventory parameters.

Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Well organised and detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Economics, Mathematics, Science or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar material planning or supply chain role.
