This Position reports to:

Operations Manager

ABB Drives Estonia is looking for a motivated Production Line Manager who connects factory floor supervision with strategic managerial oversight. Innovation is in ABB’s DNA. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring smooth production flow with quality and safety throughout the entire order-to-delivery process of the cabinet production line.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Management of production lines to ensure a smooth run according to customer demand with efficient production planning, resource allocation, quality assurance and timely delivery.

  • Optimization of line productivity by identifying process improvements, efficient management of operational metrics and supporting continuous improvement by lean methodology to enhance process capacity, reduction of waste and variation.

  • Assembly and testing scenario design: process flow, layout optimization, critical-to-quality checkpoints, and right balance of production metrics in-line with pulse of customer demand.

  • Production management essentials: planning, vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures designed to produce high operational performance.

  • Developing cohesive teams via supportive leadership, mentoring, professional growth opportunities, and a culture emphasizing collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and integrity.

  • Co-operation with other ABB units globally for systematic knowledge and best practice sharing.

  • Fostering a culture where safety is the top priority while maintaining on-time delivery, sustaining a clean, safe, world-class working environment in collaboration with all disciplines.

Qualifications for the role

  • B. Sc or M. Sc in Production, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Five or more years of production management experience, preferably involving electro-mechanical products, and demonstrated ability to boost operational efficiency.

  • Knowledge of lean production, production planning, capacity management, workflow optimization and quality management.

  • Experience in assembly process of complex electro-mechanical products, Design for Assembly/Automation and CAD tools.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with ability to inspire teams, manage change effectively, and develop team members in a diverse environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Estonian, Russian language knowledge is an advantage.
