Your role and responsibilities

Role:

As a Supply Chain Management intern, you will work in the Planning & Fullfillment (P&F) and logistics department. Processes related to inbound, outbound and internal logistics flow will be managed by this team.

Inbound involves the GR of raw materials and outbound involves shipments to the warehouse or customer. We also deal with internal logistics, focusing mainly on the movement of goods within the plant.

Responsibilities:

• • During this challenging internship period, you will support the P&F logistics department of ABB Be NeLux in Evergem Ghent.
• • During your internship period, you can also actively and independently participate in the process related to the process optimisation of our transport. The goal is to reduce freight costs, reduce logistics costs (rental, provider).

Qualifications for the role

• • You are an enthusiastic and motivated student studying in Han-delswetenschappen, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering and related professional bachelors
• • You like working around logistics and planning processes. You enjoy working with systems and data entry. You like to understand how processes work and you enjoy looking for and finding solutions. Logistics administration appeals to you in other words.
• • You have a curious nature.
• • A wait-and-see attitude does not suit you at all, because you like to take the initiative.
• • You feel at home in a professional technological environment and you are able to work independently and accurately.
• • It goes without saying that you have experience with MS Office.
• • Moreover, you are customer-oriented and communicate easily in both Dutch and English.
