Your role and responsibilities

The Country Holding Officer (CHO) for Indonesia is responsible to ensure that ABB operates to the required standard and is compliant with all applicable fiduciary requirements across the Country for all of ABB. Coordinates with the local functions and business organizations to ensure consistency, expertise, and dedicated focus to regulatory matters.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area in Indonesia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• In collaboration with global teams, ensures local leadership for fiduciary matters of corporate & local country teams such as Communications, HR, HSE, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Internal Controls, IS, Trade Compliance, Real Estate.
• Responsible for compliance with all applicable local fiduciary finance requirements overseeing compliance with US GAAP, local reporting, internal controls, legal and tax requirements, with support provided by respective functions. Includes also the oversight and alignment of Real Estate across the country.
• Acts as the authorized signatory for compliance to local regulations, statutory, tax, treasury and HSE requirements
• Supports the external auditors by facilitating/coordinating the audit processes across Business Areas/Divisions.
• Coordinates the legal structure, ownership, capital adequacy/thin cap, dividends distribution, JV partner obligations, fiscal/statutory requirements, etc., in close collaboration with the global and local leadership of the relevant teams.
• Consults, facilitates, and supports the global business on M&A activities, reorganizations, restructuring, non-core activities, and carve-outs for the country, as necessary. Leads or actively supports, as needed.
• Acts as the fiduciary spokesperson externally & internally, when required.
• Supports to resolve crisis and security situations that arise in the country
• Ensures that the team is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
• Promotes and enables collaboration in the business areas, divisions, and teams to maximize results for ABB.
• Promotes simplification, continuous improvement and alignment of countrywide policies, processes and authorization frameworks
• President Director of ABB Sakti Industry Board of Directors and legally acts as Managing Director of ABB Sakti Industry entity

Qualifications for the role:

• 10-15 years working knowledge with at least 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a similar role in a multicultural environment.
• A master's degree, CA, CPA, or MBA in finance is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with a strong financial understanding gained through extensive experience.
• Proven ability to work with internal & external stakeholders, such as tax authorities, government institutions, associations, auditors, etc.
• Deep knowledge, understanding and interest in Indonesian regulations and culture
• Fluency in English. Working knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia would be beneficial but not required.
• Well demonstrated leadership abilities based on creating an impactful collaboration culture and strong accountability
