Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to manages and lead a team of Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Specialists to evaluate business data to produce meaningful insights and metrics. Each day, you will ensure the execution of quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying trends that could improve business performance.

The work model for the role is: #Li_hybrid

This role is contributing to the Automation Business globally. Main stakeholders are all Automation divisions and functions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Data Strategy Development: together with PA divisions and other ABB businesses and functions, creating and implementing a comprehensive PA data strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives.

  • Data Governance: together with PA divisions and other ABB business and functions, establishing policies and practices to ensure PA data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.

  • Data Management: overseeing the entire PA data lifecycle, including collection, storage, processing, analysis, and dissemination of PA data in the PA Data Warehouse and other relevant systems.

  • Data Quality Assurance: together with PA divisions, ensuring that the PA data used across the organization are accurate, consistent, and reliable.

  • Data Delivery: managing delivery of more than 200 data products to PA divisions, ensuring agreed data quality KPI-s and service SLA-s, to enables PA business to rely on data to drive decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. Running data products portfolio delivery governance body (Steering Committee), controlling operations with data products Operational Committees, confirming delivery plans and roadmaps, handling escalations.

  • Driving Innovation: stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the data products. Propose enhancements to existing data products based on technological advancements.

  • Organization management: managing 7 teams of data products delivery organization (ab. 30-40 data analysts and data engineers); managing 7 data products owners (team leaders). Recruiting and developing people to build and maintain competencies to follow the data market trends and deliver innovation.

  • Project Management: oversee large-scale data projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Utilize project management skills to navigate challenges associated with scaling the data solutions.

  • Financial management: creating and delivering to budget targets agreed with divisional stakeholders (CFO-s).

  • Suppliers’ management: procuring services from external suppliers, professional service provides and technology partners (like Microsoft).

  • Satisfaction management: ensuring employees’ satisfaction, as well as end users satisfaction and key stakeholders satisfaction from its services portfolio.

Qualifications for the role

  • Data Proficiency: Over 15 years of experience in data, analytics, and AI domains, delivering critical global solutions to various management levels and customers.

  • Leadership: More than 5 years of increasing, global, high-level leadership and management experience in data, analytics, and AI domains, including roles such as data domain management, analytics lead, or Chief Data Officer (CDO).

  • Educational Background: Technical and management education or a related master's degree.

  • Industrial knowledge: Proven industry knowledge in the field of manufacturing, system business, projects, service and control systems.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication in complex environments, excellent negotiation skills, managing multiple stakeholders, handling escalations, consulting with C-level executives, and effectively running Steering Committees.

  • Change Management: Demonstrated change management experience using PROSCI or other change management methodologies at a global or enterprise level in data transformations or digitalization programs.

  • Financial Management: Management of multi-million USD budgets.

  • Data Organizations: Proven experience in building high-performing global teams and innovating efficient working methods in areas such as Data Operations, Data Products Management, DevOps, and SAFe®.

  • Cloud Computing: Proficiency with data cloud technologies, including Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.

  • Personal Attributes: Demonstrated resilience, self-control, and the ability to effectively manage stress and pressure.
