Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development using in-depth technical expertise in Medium Voltage Drives. You will act as the first point of contact in the Quality and Reliability for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting strategic corporate quality management and product architecture.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion High Power / Medium Voltage Drives in Aleksandrow Lodzki, Poland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading the root-cause analysis and issue resolution process for critical quality projects.

• Analyzing data, organizing tests and experiments to uncover the root-cause of the issue.

• Proposing design and specification changes and working closely with product engineering team and suppliers to develop solutions for current and future products.

• Managing engineering projects of substantial impact to your organization.

• Collaborating with global ABB experts from R&D, Q&R and other functions as well as component manufacturers, external laboratories and universities.

• Expanding the competence portfolio in product quality, assimilating new technologies, tools and methodologies and integrating learnings into daily activities.

• Anticipating and proactively proposing actions to mitigate possible quality issues in Q&R projects.

• Qualifications for the role- M.Sc. in electrical engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years experience on design, production, testing or quality in the field of power electronics.

• Ability to read electrical, electronic and mechanical schematics and drawings, standards and technical documentation.

• Enhanced knowledge of data analysis, simulation, control software and quality tools.

• Experience with medium voltage drives will be an asset.

• Passion about technology, problem solving and continuous development.

• Fluency in English at technical level.
