This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:
Senior Project Finance Manager:
Stepping into this role means joining ABB’s Robotics headquarter finance team at a pivotal moment, as the business begins its exciting transition toward independence. By joining now, you will help design and run the headquarter accounting, reporting and controlling processes that will underpin the future standalone Robotics Group, working closely with experts across finance, tax, treasury and business operations.

You will be mainly accountable for

Managing monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities for HQ and holding entities, ensuring compliance with the Swiss Code of Obligations and ABB Robotics policies, while preparing and reviewing financial statements, notes and key schedules (equity, intercompany, treasury, investments).

Ensuring accurate and complete transaction recording across reporting units and service centers, supervising functional and business controllers and coordinating closely with Finance & Accounting Operations to secure timely, high‑quality group and Soft Bank reporting.

Supporting statutory audits by preparing audit deliverables and clarifying accounting treatments, while maintaining and enhancing internal controls, including balance sheet reconciliations, documentation and key control execution.

Driving financial planning and transformation efforts, contributing to budgeting, forecasting and mid‑term planning for HQ entities, supporting standardization and automation initiatives in SAP, BW and PowerBI, and acting as a key contact for technical accounting matters in collaboration with Group Reporting, Tax and Treasury.
Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.Furthermore, professional qualification such as CA, CPA or CMA preferred.

5–8 years of experience in accounting and reporting in a multinational group or audit firm; exposure to US GAAP or IFRS as well as Swiss Code of Obligations desired.

Solid understanding of financial accounting processes and direct experience with general ledger, closing and statutory reporting in a multi-entity environment.

Good knowledge of SAP and Excel; affinity for BI/reporting tools (e.g. BW, Power BI) and willingness to learn new systems.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and a practical approach with careful attention to detail.

Curious, solution-oriented and collaborative team player, comfortable working in an international environment with tight deadlines.

Fluent in English; German or any other languages are welcome.
