This Position reports to:
Product Line Manager:
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with product managers to support the sales of our global analytical technology product portfolio. Maintaining and further developing the global product configurator (APC) will be a core focus of your work, including managing user access, implementing new functions, coordinating releases and conducting system testing. You will also provide technical support, manage product-related data in SAP and Salesforce, and promote sales automation and consistent processes across tools and locations. Your structured approach to tool and data management will help ensure accurate offering, optimal tool performance and a secure, guideline-compliant IT infrastructure.
You will be mainly accountable for:
-
Managing and developing the APC configuration tool, including programming updates, urgent bugfixing, coordinating releases, documenting requirements, and handling global user access and support.
-
Coordinating product data and pricing across systems, maintaining master data, ensuring pricing consistency, and supporting continuous improvement in alignment with production and sister factories.
-
Supporting cross-system processes, such as resolving configuration issues between APC and SAP, participating in production alignments, and troubleshooting across MES and factory databases.
-
Driving integration and automation efforts, including global sales tool projects (e.g. Salesforce and Apttus), the onboarding of new product lines and sites, and ensuring infrastructure meets ABB’s IT and cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications for the role
-
Degree in engineering, computer science, or a comparable technical field – or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through extensive relevant work experience.
-
Several years of hands-on experience in product configuration, digital tools, and lifecycle management, ideally within industrial automation or analytical instrumentation environments.
-
Strong programming skills in C++, Java, and Camos, combined with solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with technical data and configuration systems (e.g. SAP, Salesforce).
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex topics clearly and effectively; confident in creating structured presentations and collaborating across functions and teams.
