The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Driving quality improvements using tools such as Lean Principles, Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Customer and Supplier Quality methods, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
• Leading the plant’s quality equipment lifecycle program, including maintenance, new equipment procurement, and calibration management
• Supporting the Finished Goods Certification System to ensure products consistently meet customer requirements
• Leading external and customer audits in accordance with ISO 9001
• Supporting the plant Quality Management System (QMS) through internal audits, CAPA activities, risk management, documentation control, and the Change Management Process (CMP)
• Collaborating with Division Quality to support New Product Introductions (NPI)

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
• One (1) year of combined experience in a Manufacturing/Production, Quality and/or Laboratory role in a private, public, government, or military environment (internships/co-ops apply)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Two (2) or more years of combined experience in a Manufacturing/Production, Quality and/or Laboratory role in a private, public, government, or military environment (internships/co-ops apply)
• Experience facilitating ISO 9001 standards in a manufacturing environment
• Skills include critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, effective communication, collaboration and teamwork, customer-focused mindset, continuous improvement orientation

• Travel:May include up to 10% domestic or international
• Relocation:May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $98,413 - $120,282, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
