The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:

As a Senior Claims Product Support Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. The person hired for this position in the 3M Consumer Healthcare Business within Consumer Business Group will make an impact by:

  • Serving as Functional Subject Matter Expert on Claims and Substantiation

  • Maintaining global product claim sheet content to support sales and marketing, including reviewing new claims for adequate substantiation and clinical evidence

  • Completing Change Management Requests for assigned product lines, ensuring claims remain adequately supported and requesting clinical or other testing, as needed.

  • Creating or reviewing clinical, regulatory, marketing and toxicological documentation

  • Engaging with the global cross functional team to ensure global inputs and requirements (legal, regulatory) are incorporated into claims

  • Ensuring both Medical Device and Consumer requirements are met

  • Aligning with Legal on appropriate claims wording

Your Skills and Expertise:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.

  • Experience managing or reviewing product claims

  • Experience working in a regulated industry

  • Experience working with healthcare products

  • Advanced English speaking and writing competency

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills, with ability to work effectively on cross functional teams

  • Consumer claims and regulatory experience

  • Clinical experience

  • Medical Device Audit experience

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience leading programs without significant oversite
