Understand the signal
Bar Raiser rounds evaluate decision quality under ambiguity.
Your story should show how you raised standards, not just executed tasks.
Principle-first preparation
Create one primary story for each high-frequency principle:
- Ownership
- Dive Deep
- Bias for Action
- Earn Trust
Story compression
Your target is a 90-second version and a 3-minute version for each story.
Switch between them based on interviewer cues.
What strong answers include
- explicit tradeoff framing
- data points for outcomes
- reflection on what changed after your decision
Common failure mode
Candidates explain events chronologically without a decision framework.
Lead with your decision thesis first, then evidence.
