DESCRIPTION:

Join our Accounts Payable team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to our financial operations. As an Accounts Payable Analyst I, you'll process and analyze financial transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance. You'll collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve complex accounting issues and enhance processes. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required in accounts payable, accounting, or finance
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Professional accounting certifications preferred
  • Proficiency in major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Mainframe)
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • B2+ English proficiency for both written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends and resolve complex issues
  • Experience with banking portals and financial tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable principles and processes
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Experience with multi-currency and high-volume transaction processing
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements and accounting controls
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience in Shared Service Centers preferred
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions
