Track Manager - EMC Avamar, EMC NetWorker

Job Summary

responsible for advanced troubleshooting, management, and optimization of enterprise backup and recovery environments. This role acts as the highest escalation point for backup-related incidents, ensuring data protection, high availability, and successful recovery across IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead operations management using EMC Avamar and EMC Legato, ensuring robust data backup, recovery, and retention processes that adhere to client SLAs and compliance requirements.

2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data from Rubrik CDM and EMC platforms, recommending and implementing process enhancements for greater efficiency and reliability.

3. Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to support teams on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and complex issue resolution involving Rubrik and EMC data protection technologies.

4. Oversee incident and change management workflows, utilizing Rubrik and EMC toolsets to minimize downtime and ensure prompt, effective service restoration.

5. Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement innovative solutions for data lifecycle management, leveraging the advanced features of Rubrik CDM and EMC Legato.

6. Ensure transparent communication of project and operational goals, facilitating knowledge sharing and strategic alignment within the team.

7. Evaluate and introduce emerging data protection technologies and automation tools, driving innovation in operational processes and service delivery.

Skill Requirements

Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Backup concepts (snapshots, replication, retention) Storage systems (SAN/NAS/tape) Experience with: Veeam, Commvault, Net Backup Virtualization: VMware / Hyper-V OS knowledge: Windows & Linux
